Team Flaherty's Campaign Internship Program

Michael Flaherty, candidate for Boston City Council At-Large, is seeking campaign interns who are motivated, organized, and eager to jump into an exciting election season.

Ideal candidates will be reliable, possess communication skills, and have an interest in politics. Previous campaign experience is a plus but not necessary.

Interns will be exposed to all facets of a competitive citywide campaign, working directly on the communications and field organization side. This internship is an excellent resume builder prior to the 2018 election cycle and comes during one of Boston’s most pivotal elections.

Responsibilities will include:
● Volunteer management
● Working with VoteBuilder database for voter contact
● Assistance with event planning and preparation
● Drafting campaign messaging
● Other clerical duties as necessary

Interns will be expected to work 8-10 hours per week. Hours are flexible based on your schedule and may include evenings and weekends. Work will begin immediately and will continue through November 7th (Election Day!). We are located at 737 East Broadway, South Boston.

If interested, please email your resume to

Note: This is an unpaid internship, but students may use this opportunity for academic credit.
